Rainy day

Em and I baked cookies for the first time together... now she really likes to stir things - lately it's been her empty plastic easter eggs in a basket! It was so much fun letting her stir and watch the mixer...
She DID stick the spatula in while the mixer was on...
Being GOOFY with her "orangie" bandana
She found a pile of "too small" clothes and insisted that I help her "put on" - She would have added more if I didn't stop her at the pink flamingo robe.
One of those extremely GOOFY faces I love. She just thought she was the funniest thing running around in all those clothes:) I did too.

The ZOO!

My parents kindly gave us a zoo and aquarium pass for Christmas, and we didn't waste any time using both. We had a great day at the zoo in late January as a family. Emma refused to sit in the stroller (something she is doing more frequently these days!) and had a blast exploring. Just walkin' with mommy... on to the ELEPHANTS! (which emma favored over all the animals, especially the bunnies and chickens! She was terrified of them in their little cages at the "Family Farm")
I think Emma would have made my brother nervous getting so close to the peacock... (story to follow, maybe)
Daddy and Emma on the giant spider web:)
She was running like a maniac!
After we watched the elephant use it's trunk to eat, we got up close to the statue to see where it's mouth is... I can't wait to go back when the weather heats up a bit!

A little splash of "pu-ple" in honor of my lavender-loving daughter!
Thought I would post some pictures since I have neglected monkeynews for so long! I'll try to download some more soon! Christmas Day at uncle Travis's house -- 8" of snow! Emma was not that excited about it.
Emma watching sesame street from her toy basket:)
Oops! sideways, but cute (and cold!-look at her little fist!)
Emma and Hannah at the Seattle Aquarium - the first time emma said "fishies" and "scuba guy" (there was a guy cleaning the fish tank in scuba gear!) SO fun. She LOVES the big fish window.
